1. Crush the grated coconut with other ingredients,i.e grated coconut,chilly powder,turmeric powder and a small pinch of cumin seeds and keep it aside.
2. In a frying pan, heat oil and splutter mustard. Then add the curry leaves, red chilly pieces, urid daal, sliced onion and green chilly and saut? well.
3. When done, add the broccoli pieces with a small pinch of salt and turmeric. Fry in medium flame. Cover and leave it for a few minutes. 4. Once the broccoli turns soft, add the crushed coconut and stir well. Remove from fire, when dry.
Serve with hot rice & gravy.
* Ensure not to overcook it. * Usually water comes out of this vegetable while cooking, so no need to add water.
