COCONUT CHAMMANTHI

Ingredients

  • Grated coconut 1 Cups
  • Pearl onions 3-4 Nos
  • Dried red chillies 4-5 Nos
  • Curry Leaves 1 sprigs
  • Garlic 1-2 Nos
  • Ginger small piece(cut this into small pieces for ease while grinding)
  • Tamarind - small gooseberry size 1 Nos
  • Salt 1 Pinch
  • Cooking Oil 150 Milliliters

Directions

1. Make oil hot in a frying pan and the items listed under B. Stir and fry for a few minutes. Then add the grated coconut, switch off the flame after a few minutes.

Leave it to cool.

2. Grind the above mixture with tamarind and salt. It is coarsely ground, without water and not for long time.

3. Remove from mixer/ grinder, drip a little oil, mix and serve with rice.
